Guitar lessons for adults & children

I’ve been teaching guitar for 30 years and playing for 50 years, which has enabled me to develop excellent resources and tips to help you achieve your full potential as a guitarist. I can also significantly cut down the time it takes for you to learn.

How are Lessons Conducted?

Lessons can be either in person - one on one (subject to covid 19 levels) or via the internet on skype or zoom.

What Do I Teach?

I teach how to read chord charts and tablature, strumming, picking patterns, the basics of lead guitar, great songs, improvising & excellent technique. For those of you who are interested, I can also teach scales and arpeggios, general theory and even songwriting skills.

Free First Lesson

I provide one free lesson, so you can meet me, find out more about the lessons and decide if you’d like to continue. Feel free to contact me to ask any questions or to arrange a lesson time. I can also email some introductory information about how lessons are conducted.

Lesson Times and Lengths

Lessons are once a week, during school terms. Length of lessons: 30 - 45 or 60 minutes. 30 minutes is the most common and is usually sufficient. 45 and 60 minute lessons are only available at certain times. Lessons are optional during school holiday periods and are subject to my being available.

Lesson times:

Mondays 5.30pm - 8pm
Tuesdays 3.30pm – 8pm
Wednesdays 1.30pm - 8pm
Thursdays 11:30am – 8 pm
Saturdays 9.00am - 2.00pm
